I am writing this blog to try and piece together all of the conflicting reports about what happened at the recent school shooting here in America. Authorities say that a man fatally shot twenty children and six staff members at Sandy Hook Elementary School in a village of Newtown, Connecticut. According to the New York Times, Lanza "blasted his way into the elementary school and then sprayed the children with bullets." I think this quote from the Times article is extremely callous, and is a good example of the sensationalist journalism which is peddled on many mainstream news outlets. I am going to attempt to wade through all the bunk and give you all the straight talk on what happened at that school.
